Today marks 27 years that I’ve been around and that means I am not thirty yet baby! Life has been good to me and I’m truly blessed. I have the most amazing family and friends. I have experienced many fascinating people, breathtaking opportunities, creative jobs, and relaxing vacations.
I decided to write up 27 things about me that many people may not know already.
I absolutely love macaroni and cheese!
I don’t eat birthday cake on my birthday, instead, I eat bread pudding.
I am a huge Marvel fan.
I eat jambalaya the night before my birthday because that’s what my mom ate the night she went into labor.
Showstopper by Danity Kane was my jam in seventh grade.
I was a cheerleader in middle school.
I believe I should have been born in the ’70s. (I love the music!)
I don’t know how to blow up a balloon. Trust me I have tried and tried.
I have a women empowerment DVD collection that features a bunch of movies where women are kicking butt and taking names.
I dropped a brick on my brother’s foot when I was little.
I was blessed to know two of my great grandmothers (Great Grandma & Big Mama)
I ran a public relations department.
I did my internship at Disney World.
I have a playlist full of Broadway tunes.
I cry like a baby while watching plays. (Violet and Silent Sky)
I played the violin for seven years and I'm teaching myself how to play the ukulele
I can stay in the water all day. I love to swim.
When I was a kid, I ate a bug at this bug museum in New Orleans.
I love butterflies.
My favorite book is Walk Two Moons (Again, I cried like a baby!)
I hate drinking milk.
I like watching old Hollywood movies. (Cabin in the Sky, Imitations of Life, Stormy Weather, etc)
I tried to shave my eyebrows when I was little. (They never grew back fully.)
I fell off a wooden high chair when I was a baby and got a lifetime beauty scar on my cheek.
I have a gap between my big toes and the other toes. ( I think it’s because I wore too many sandals when I was a kid.)
My birthmark is on my tongue.
I am forever grateful for the 27 years God has blessed me with.
